Taxi Driver

TAXI DRIVER is a basic user-friendly program to record all of your taxi driving business income and expenses.  Taxi Driver allows you to record your shift details and print or email as required. It is a great replacement for e-record, spreadsheets and manual records. You can record your income and expenses anywhere with internet connection and on the go via internet connected devices.

APPLICATIONS TAXI DRIVER INCOME – record your shifts here.

Create Taxi Driver Shift complete the following:

  • Starting Date & starting time
  • Finishing Date & finishing time
  • Operator is the owner that you are driving for. “Manage Operators” creates a standard list. (This is a list of who you have worked for).
  • Opening Odometer kms when you started your shift. This can be 0 if you do not wish to record
  • Closing Odometer kms when you finished your shift. This can be 0 if you do not wish to record
  • Total kms will be calculated automatically or you can type the Total Kilometres in or a 0 can be put in if you do not wish to record
  • Cash Earnings
  • Credit Earnings are eftpos, cab charge etc
  • Total Earnings will be calculated automatically
  • Cab Fuel
  • Cab Wash
  • Operator Share may be entered as a % or a $ per shift
  • Driver Earnings will be calculated automatically
  • Create shift adds the above. You can do the Opening Odometer at the start of your shift and save then edit by clicking pencil at the end of your shift to complete the rest of the entries
  • Can be emailed using the envelope icon

APPLICATIONS TAXI DRIVER EXPENSES – records any other expenses for driving taxis. Complete the following:

  • Date
  • Payee who the expense was paid to. To add a regular payee use Manage Payees. The payee will be saved for future use.
  • Details enter extra information in relation to the expense
  • Category – Drop down list for standard taxi driver expenses. To add your own category click Manage Categories.  Add new category plus GST Type and create.  The categories will be saved for future use. Please note that if you change a category name it will change it on all previous entries. Please add a new category rather than changing a current category name. Only change a category name prior to starting or if you are happy for it to alter all previous entries from the current category name to the new category name.
  • GST if the type is both GST & no GST enter the $ amount of GST in the box. Other types will automatically calculate. If you want to see the amount of GST calculated click on the grey box next to the amount.
  • Business Percentage if the expense is not 100% used for business change the % to the business percentage
  • Save creates the expense item.

Once income and expenses have been created they will be summarised in a quick view form when you log in.  You can view, edit, email (income only) or delete by using the icons on the right hand side.

REPORTS

Generated – Shows reports generated. Data is as at generated date a new report must be generated to reflect any changes.

Income – enter start date and end date and click “generate report”.  This will generate a “Shift Details Report”, showing all income for that period. Click on View/Edit and you can edit and delete entries direct from this report.

Expenses – enter start date and end date and click “generate report”.  This will generate a “Taxi Driver Expense Report”, showing all expenses for that period. Click on View/Edit and you can edit and delete entries direct from this report.

GST – enter start date and end date and click “generate report”.  This shows all information ready for your BAS form.

Cashflow Summary – enter start date and end date and click “generate PDF” or “generate CSV”.  This shows a detailed cashflow report for that period.  It is recorded as Total Gross, GST & Net under each category.

Detailed Entries – enter start date and end date and click “generate PDF” or “generate CSV”.  This shows a detailed report of all income and expenses for that period in date order. Click on View/Edit and you can edit and delete entries direct from this report.

Expense Category – enter start date, end date and expense category eg ; bank fees, and click “generate report”.  This shows a detailed report of all expenses in that category for that period. Click on View/Edit and you can edit and delete entries direct from this report.

Expense All Categories Report – enter start date and end date and click “generate report”.  This shows a detailed report for all expenses in all categories for that period. Click on View/Edit and you can edit and delete entries direct from this report.
Note this report shows only non shift related expenses.

All Reports can be saved to your device or printed using the information on the screen.

This application is designed to assist in complying with the Australian Taxation Office requirements for Taxi Drivers.
